About the Conference


The first conference will be held under the motto Consolidation and promotion of the Strategic Relationship for the Development of the Air Transport, Tourism and Air Cargo Market.

The main objective of this conference is to reflect on the potential of air transport and tourism, and what conditions must be created to allow air cargo traffic produced in Mozambique.


Specific Objectives of the Conference

  • Reflect on the Strategic Relationship between Tourism and Air Transport in Mozambique and opportunities for better and greater strategic alignment.

  • What infrastructure do we have in Mozambique Vs needs for the development of air cargo transportation.

  • Reflect on the legislation and cost of air cargo in Mozambique;

  • Launch the bases for the elaboration of a master plan for the development of the market of air transport and tourism and air cargo.

  • Make policymakers aware of the importance of collaboration between the two sectors.


Expected results

With the accomplishment of this event one hopes to be able to understand and to answer the several lessons on the subject and to obtain the following results:

  • Reflect on the need to prepare a Master Plan on Air transport, tourism and air cargo in Mozambique.

  • Subsidy to improve the Strategic Relationship between Tourism and Air Transport in Mozambique;

  • Drawn suggestions or lines of action for the promotion of air cargo transport

  • Some measures have been found to boost tourism through the civil aviation industry in particular, air transport of passengers and cargo;

  • Ensuring the support of policy makers on the need for air transport and tourism to move forward together to present legal developments and airspace liberalization agreements

  • Investment opportunities for the tourism and civil aviation sectors are presented;

  • Attract more passenger / cargo traffic to our airports / airfields

  • Shared possible solutions to the challenges of developing air cargo transport in Mozambique;

  • Discussed the competitive factors in the future of the tourism and civil aviation industry in the region and in the World.
